Rudolf Schleifenbaum founded in 1929 the law firm from which today’s professional partnership Schleifenbaum & Adler has emerged. Since its creation the offices have been located in the »Hansa-Haus« in the heart of the city of Siegen. 13 lawyers are now working at the Firm.

Schleifenbaum & Adler is a full-service law firm providing legal counsel and quality representation in nearly all areas of practice. We have specialists in numerous fields of law, e. g. commercial and business law incl. mergers & acquisitions, land and property law, tax law, protection of industrial property rights and copyright law, employment law, law of succession, building and architecture law, administrative law, family law or road traffic law. Several partners are allowed to use the title »specialist lawyer« for their area of specialty and other members are also notary publics.

In addition to clients from the private sector the lawyers of Schleifenbaum & Adler also provide counsel to a large number of enterprises, both local and national. Industrial clients of the Firm include companies from the metallurgical industry, the fields of commerce, banking, energy supply and retail, building companies, many machine and plant engineering companies, rolling works, foundries and other companies in the heavy and chemical industry, automotive suppliers, companies in the field of product engineering, the pipe industry, printing and reproduction technology, the food industry and breweries. But our clients also include many consulting companies, service providers and of course companies from the IT and software industry.

Due to the traditional successful export activities of many especially medium-sized companies in South Westphalia, Schleifenbaum & Adler regularly work on cases involving European and non-European actors and law. In addition to the firm’s expertise in legal issues and knowledge of other languages, in particular English and French but also Finnish, the company is also a member of CONSULEGIS EWIV. Thanks to this membership, Schleifenbaum & Adler is in constant contact with law firms in about 40 countries and more than 140 cities worldwide.

Several attorneys of the law firm Schleifenbaum & Adler are members of advisory or supervisory boards of medium-sized and large enterprises and managing boards or committees of social or other socio-political bodies, while others are active in non-profit or cultural organisations on a voluntary basis, hold lectures, or have served as examiners in legal examinations and the training of legal assistants.
