Land and property law is an area that has traditionally been an important part of Schleifenbaum & Adler’s legal work. This includes the implementation or defense of claims in connection with contracts for the purchase of land or housing or other property-related agreements. Cases where claims relating to omissions or extinctions in connection with emissions or similar issues such as soil contamination have to be enforced or warded off are regular subjects in our practice. A major area of our activities is to be found in notarial work – the preparation of transactions involving land or other property. We draw up contracts involving land, such as sales contracts for plots of land, residential property or commercial investments, specify the legal conditions applicable at property management companies, support property development schemes and transfer and rescind hereditary property rights. We have extensive experience in the division of blocks of flats and commercial property in accordance with law governing residential property and in connection with all legal matters involving registrations in the Land Register such as easements, land rents, mortgages and encumbrances. Checking and drafting urban planning contracts (particularly in the form of development contracts) is another area that has become an increasingly frequent element of our practice in recent years in the field of land and property law. We also counsel you – if necessary together with a tax consultant – on problems in the field of tax law in relation to the acquisition of land. Our administrative law specialists offer counsel and support you in all matters involving property in public law such as in connection with development plans, land development plans and other issues involving construction planning, legal aspects of municipal and development contributions and levies, and in the field of environment protection and contamination.
